The other day, an ad popped up on my feed. It was a cake, frosted in pastel purple, with the words:
“Less dieting and more living with GLP-1 tablets. No gym, just vibes.”
Cute? Sure.
Irresponsible? Absolutely.
And unfortunately, this kind of messaging isn’t rare anymore. We’re watching a powerful medical tool get flattened into a lifestyle aesthetic—and it’s creating a false sense of what GLP-1 medications are and how they actually work.
Let’s be clear: GLP-1 medications are not the enemy.
They can be powerful, even life-changing, when prescribed for the right reasons and used responsibly. These medications (like Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro) were designed to help people regulate blood sugar, manage insulin resistance, reduce appetite, and—yes—support weight loss.
But here’s the problem: The narrative is shifting from support to shortcut. From clinical to cosmetic.
From let’s work with your body to just take this and skip the rest.
This is where I get fired up.

Let’s break that down.
Your body still needs movement—for strength, energy, mood, digestion, and long-term health.
